Rod can't believe it ... and I must admit I'm pleasantly surprised too
Four weeks ago I launched a website for a company called Country Lifestyle Homes, which sells steel-frame kitset homes here in New Zealand. (See the site at www.countrylifestylehomes.co.nz ).
I put a link to it from my own website, so Google would pick it up quickly. And sure enough within 2 or 3 days the Country Lifestyle Homes site was showing up on Google ... on the second page for the search term "kitset homes, nz".I have to say I was surprised to see the site performing so well on Google, so quickly. But even more amazing, the owner of County Lifestyle Homes, Rod Hill, phoned me a week after the site went live to tell more he'd had several enquiries off the website!
This is Rod's first venture into web marketing and he admits he was somewhat sceptical. About the same time as we launched the website, Rod paid $800 for a newspaper advertisement. He didn't get a single response from that ad. But in the four weeks since we launched the website, he's been getting a steady stream of enquiries off the site every day. He's running around the country visiting people who want more information!
Rod is now an enthusistic convert to the power of web marketing. He's running around telling everyone how his website is bringing in so much business ... and he's recommending my web design and copywriting services!
I have to say, part of the success of this site is that we have a product that's in high demand right now in New Zealand - kitset homes. But the way the site is written, clearly spelling out the benefits of a Country Lifestyle Homes kitset, is also playing a big part.
I'm delighted with the early success of this site. And I'm also pleased for Rod's sake, having stepped out in faith to launch his business, that I've been able to have a part in getting it off to a strong start.
